Dear Shareware User,

RE:  POWER-FLEX


Here's a little present that should save you some time.  It's a
Professional Billing System for accounting firms. The program comes in 2
disks, which you can install into a hard disk by typing  [A:INSTALL]

If you ended up with 2 files (rather than the disks) then all you have to
do is put them in any sub-directory, type [PKUNZIP *.ZIP] to un-pack the
files.

Please try it out. After you learn about it, you can re-install (anytime) to 
get a fresh, empty set of files.

The files contain a dummy customer [ZZTEST] which you can play with. Feel
free to create more customers on your own.

Note:  This program is designed to accomodate an entire professional
practice, with many "time-keepers." After you first go in, add some [staff], 
including yourself. Only "staff" can enter time-sheets.


What will it do for you?
------------------------

It will do billing, receivables, journals, credit control, statements, etc.

For one thing, the "Time Sheet" screen will give you a very visual diary of
how you (and your staff) spent their time on any given day.

The Time Sheets can be edited, reviewed, changed, except for "invoiced
entries."

This program will produce invoices. If the layout is not to your
professional liking, simply re-type it on your letterhead. Alternatively,
it can be custom-modified.


To configure:
-------------
After going in, go under (M)aintenance, (O)ther to edit the company
configuration. A ficticious name has been entered, as an start.


Multi-user, network version:
----------------------------
There is a multi-user version, which is sorely needed by larger accounting
firms. The words "Multi-user" will appear on the opening screen on this
version.  The multi-user version has added security and password
provisions.


On-line Tutorial included:
--------------------------
The Main Menu has a selection called (H)elpful info.
This is a video-like training program. Please run this program to learn about 
how the package works.


Time-Sheet Billing Explanations:
--------------------------------
The "ITMCDE" field is an optional field where you could enter an inventory
item (MISC has been created for you) or simply leave blank. There are 4
description lines allowed.

This program add "taxes" during invoicing, automatically. This is necessary
for some states, as well as Canada, which will have a GST in 1991.
