   First Canadian Accounting Package for Windows Debuts

July 19, 1990 -- Oakville, Ontario -- Intelligent Information 
Integration today announced the release of the first Canadian 
accounting software product that runs under the Microsoft Windows 
environment. The product, Biz-Nix, is designed and produced in 
Canada, with Canadian needs in mind.

Biz-Nix is being distributed in Canada by Intelligent Information 
Integration. ``The product fills a needed void in the Windows 
applications market'', said Don Roy, Director of Operations for 
the distributor. ``Only in the last year have the software 
products become available that average users need to be able to 
work in the Windows environment from nine to five. The basic 
needs have been met for spreadsheet, word processing, 
communications, database and, finally, accounting.''

Biz-Nix is an invoicing and accounting package targeted towards
the low and middle range of Canadian businesses. While providing 
a wide range of capabilities, the software features a consistent 
user interface and approach that lets users get up and running 
almost immediately. According to Biz-Nix Chief Developer, Alex 
Barrotti, the program is intended for those businesses that 
``wish to invoice their customers and have the computer take care 
of the books''. About the user interface, he commented further 
that ''Biz-Nix has ten control buttons that are characteristic to 
every screen. These allow you to invoice a customer, collect a 
payment, place a purchase order, or add a client in the same way, 
using the same command procedures.''

Anticipating the most-asked question for Canadian businesses, 
registered users of Biz-Nix will receive a free GST upgrade in 
the fourth quarter of 1990. The software includes management and 
tracking of: Accounts Receivable and Payable, Customer database 
and history, tax exemption, Order Entry, Inventory and Supplier 
databases, cash sales, credits, refunds, banking transactions for 
multiple bank accounts, Purchase Orders, shipping, receiving and 
invoicing for services.

The software is fully compatible with all operating modes of 
Microsoft Windows Version 3.0 and uses the interface to advantage 
in providing easy access to a wide range of business reports. 
Among these reporting facilities are: Customer list and mailing 
labels, on hand inventory list with costs, daily and monthly 
sales reports, monthly commission reports, customer activity 
reports and more.

The Biz-Nix Invoicing and Accounting software is available for 
shipment on August 1, 1990. The Windows 3.0 version of the 
software is file compatible with forthcoming versions for the 
Apple Macintosh and for OS/2 Presentation Manager. Projected 
release for these versions is first quarter, 1991. Suggested 
list price for the Windows 3.0 version is $450.00 

Computer Reseller Promotion

From now until September 30, Intelligent Information Integration 
is making a special Introduction Package available to computer 
resellers. The package consists of one Retail copy and one full 
function dealer demonstration copy of Biz-Nix, for less than the 
single copy retail price. In addition, Biz-Nix Software Inc. and
the distributor will be working, in conjunction with resellers, 
to present a series of in-store user demonstrations.
