SFMAKDAT from Bob Zimmerman --------------------------- This is a little utility program that generates an SFDOORS.DAT file that gives you 255 minutes available in a local logon mode. Many doors (all of mine) require an SFDOORS.DAT file to run. This program can be used to generate the file before running the door in a local mode (for example, as an event or from a BAT file). Some features include this door supports running in a network environment and will properly share the user file. It needs to know where the Spitfire.EXE files are. Simply place this program anywhere in your path. Next, if you are not executing it from the SF directory, you should have SET SFPATH=c:\sf in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file (where C:\SF is the directory containing SPITFIRE.EXE). The command line options are as follows: SFMAKDAT /p=c:\sf /user='Joe Shame' /ANSI /NODE=2 All of the above parameters are optional. /P= Allows you to specify the SPITFIRE.EXE path right on the command line. /USER= Allows you to generate an SFDOORS.DAT file for a caller other then SYSOP. Sysop is the default. If you want to search for Bob Zimmerman and generate the appropriate SFDOORS.DAT file, you must be sure to specify the name within apostrophes... for example: SFMAKDAT /USER='Bob Zimmerman'. /ANSI specifies the SFDOORS.DAT file should emulate an ANSI Logon. /NODE= You can specify a specific node number to logon as.
