                      A DEDICATION        

     I would like to dedicate this release to some unsung heroes
of the bbs world. Programmers get to put their names on the
user's screen if they have big egos, and go in for that sort of
thing, but not everybody gets talked about so much.

     The registered user. Here is a guy who has already got the
software he wants. Nobody is looking over his shoulder to see
what he is using or not, but he goes to the effort and expense to
send a check to somebody he doesn't even know, just because it's
the right thing to do. Without him, shareware could not exist;
software would be something that comes in shrink wrapped boxes,
bought sight unseen at high prices. Programming would be working
for big companies with their bad attitudes on projects that often
lacked any creative interest. Thanks to the registered user,
endless alternatives exist for all of us. What a guy!

     The uploader. Most people think of a bbs as somewhere you
call to get something. Here is somebody who also thinks of it as
a place to give something. Having found something he likes, he
takes the time, and sometimes a nasty phone bill, to see that
others get to use it as well. Most of the people he is helping
out will never know his name, let alone who he is. Without him,
nobody could possibly distribute shareware. It would just plain
take too long to make all those calls. Whenever we hit that "d"
key, we ought to remember that somewhere is a guy we should tell,
"thanks for the upload"

     The sysop. Last, and certainly not least, is the one who
makes it all possible. Without the sysop, there wouldn't be a
board to call, let alone a file to download. Long hours spent
organizing the message bases, the files, and the bulletins can
easily be overlooked as the characters come streaming in over the
modem. Over and over, the sysop explains how to use the system.
How to use a computer, period. Somewhere, for everybody in the
bbs world, there is the sysop who told them how it all works.
People who work their tails off for whoever happens to call in.
If they're especially lucky, someone once in a while says thanks.
As often as not, they forget. Let me take this space to say it.
