adagio for Glass Harmonica K.356 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Transcribed for AdLib by Larry Soprano, New Castle, PA The glass harmonica was an instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin. It consisted of a number of tuned glass plates or bowls mounted on a rod turned by a crank. This assembly sat in a basin of water that kept the bowls wet. The player touched the bowls to produce tones similar to the sound made by running your wet finger around the top of a crystal wine glass. This instrument had some popularity in the late 18th. century, and Mozart wrote a couple of pieces for it. Larry
