"Tres Apuntes" is a collection of three guitar pieces by the Cuban composer
and guitarist Leo Brouwer. They are arrangements of music from chamber works
and perhaps other sources : #1 is from an homage to Manuel de Falla, #2 is
"from a chamber music piece", and #3 is based upon a Bulgarian folk song. The
date given to these arangements is 1959 ; the music I used was published by
B. Schott in their Gitarren-Archiv series, 1972. If you ever have the oppor-
tunity to see Brouwer perform, by all means do so : he is an exciting virtuoso
performer, and an excellent composer.
