CHORDIT is a small utility designed to aid the guitar player or other
musician in determining chord progressions based on a partial chord
or melody line.  It is free for all distribution, as long as the credits
are maintained.

CHORDIT makes a best guess for a harmonizing chord, based on the notes
supplied.  The notes are entered in the following format:

[n][+/-]

where n is the name of the note (such as G) and + means sharp, - means
flat.  Use no modifier for a natural.

In addition, if you supply an argument starting with a K, CHORDIT will
tell you how well its generated chord fits in that key:

KGm

means to use the key of G minor.  This is the "natural" (relative?)
minor, not the harmonic, and so the 7th note is a minor 7th above the
base.

CHORDIT 1.0 supports Major, Minor, Diminished, and Augmentend chords,
with a possible added minor or major seventh.

The output from CHORDIT can be re-directed to a file or printer.  Try:

CHORDIT F A C KFm > CHORD.OUT

or

CHORDIT A- C E > PRN
