ABOUT MOUSE MENUS Installing Mouse Menus ---------------------- Install the mouse hardware and software by following the instructions in the Mouse User's Guide. Then use the decompression utility provided on the Setup disk to copy the mouse menu you want to use onto your destination disk. Note: To save disk space, the pre-written mouse menus are supplied in compressed format on the Setup disk. The filenames of compressed files end with a dollar sign ($). For example, MSWRITE.CO$ is a compressed mouse menu file. If MSDB3.COM is the mouse menu file for dBase III Plus, you install this menu by decompressing the file MSDB3.CO$ (found on the Setup disk) and copying its uncompressed version to your disk. Note that you must specify the destination drive and filename. If you are using floppy disks, type: A:DECOMP MSDB3.CO$ B:MSDB3.COM If you are using a hard disk, specify the directory that contains your application by typing: A:DECOMP MSDB3.CO$ C:\DB3\MSDB3.COM where \DB3 is the application directory. Starting Instructions --------------------- To load a Mouse Menu, switch to the drive or directory that contains the Mouse Menu that you want to use. At the command line, type the name of the file; for example: MSWRITE Then load the application as you would normally.
