Build a Completely Passive

			RADAR SCRAMBLER - DEFENDER



      I've come up with another wonderful invention.  This is a totally
  passive, nonpowered radar scrambler.  It will so widely scatter the
  return Doppler signal (the bounce back off of your car) that the sending
  unit will receive an invalid signal and not register any speed on the
  display.

      NO BULL - DEPEND A BULL - DEFEND A BULL - SAVE A BULL - WORK A BULL

      This device has been tested against the real thing, my neighbor is 
  a town cop and we tried it out.  He parked on a straight road with a 
  long bend in it, just around the bend.  I had my $200.00 Radio Shack
  Radar Detector on (as always) as I approached.  I picked him up sending
  his signal, about 3/4 of a mile away.  As I can around the bend, my
  detector went nuts as I came into the full field.  After I passed him,
  turned around and came back, he told me that his dash unit would not
  lock onto a speed.  This is because the internal signal checking and 
  validation circuits were getting such garbage back that they did not 
  know what to do with the information.  Almost all of the high end
  police units have data error circuits and will reject garbage.
       This will save your butt, because the cop cannot stop you and give
  you a ticket for speeding when this happens.  If you take him to court
  he must show records of the readings and won't be able to since there
  were no readings at all.

       I am by no means telling you that you don't need a good radar
  detector.  By the way, my neighbor the cop and I both recommend either
  the best Radio Shack (the really small super het unit) or the Escort
  or the Passport by Cincinatti Microwaves.  The Shack unit is much cheaper
  and the difference is Marginal - We've test all three.

       What the Passive Scrambler - Defender will do for you is to save 
  your Butt on those occasions when you don't have a detector, forgot to
  turn it on, or have been hit with The EVIL PULSE GUN.  There is no other
  defense against the EVIL PULSE GUN other than what we have here, or to
  never - ever go over the SPEED LIMIT.

       Even if you are all thumbs, you can build one of these guys
       in about 2 hours.  The parts are easy to get and you might
       have some of these things already in the house if you are a 
       hobby kind of guy ( or gal ).

       For your well spent $5.00 you will get a complete set of plans,
       wiring diagrams (simple) and instructions.  As an engineer, one thing
       that I have learned is to keep things very very simple, and this
       kit is just that.
