tsgifs18.zip Timo's free collection of 823 GIF thumbnails for WWW

Tue 7-Sep-99: I updated a couple of days ago my first collection of
text filters to take care of the fast machine RTE 200 bug problem.
Unfortunately I missed two programs in the package
 LOGFILT.EXE Filters backspaces from logfiles
 TOIBM.EXE 7 ascii to Scandinavian 8bit ibm
My thanks to Lars Wigrell for detecting this. I have made a new
update
 127607 Sep 7 07:08 ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/ts/tsfilt24.zip
tsfilt24.zip Programs for filtering messages, log files, Unix-PC, etc.

Wed 28-Jul-99: Especially on laptops it is occasionally useful to be
able to disable some of the toggle keys. My TSR for MS-DOS
collection has several programs to that effect, but a program to
disable the NumLock key was still missing from the collection.
Consequently I wrote NONUMLCK.EXE "Disable the NumLock key". It is
included in the consequent update
 107497 Jul 28 1999 ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/ts/tstsr23.zip
 tstsr23.zip TSR programs (noboot,reslock,sordino,timedown,timeup ...)

tsbat58.zip A collection of useful batch files and tricks, T.Salmi
I have changed the format FAQ text files slightly so that they can
optionally be more easily read also with various email programs. I
have included a 1READMAI.INF file with brief instructions for
alternatively using Netscape, Unix elm or MS-DOS ReadMail to browse
the items. The advantage with the Netscape option is that then
you'll have all the contained links immediately clickable. I also
added the new items
 78) Is there a batch to individually zip each file in a directory?
 79) A batch to substitute a string through a set of text files?
 80) Where do I find a good book or WWW page on batch programming?
 81) How to read a file's date and time into environment variables?
D10) How can I delete a file/directory with a space in the name?
Added a QBASIC solution alternative to the item
 40) A batch to put user input into an environment variable
Added another solution version to the item
 68) How can I compare two numbers with batch commands?

Wed 27-Jan-99: PCs faster than 200Mhz have brought along a new
problem with some old programs. Turbo Pascal's Crt screen handling
cease to work because of a "divide by 0" initialization error. This
problem only concerns Turbo Pascal 7.0, not the earlier TP versions.
I have therefore made an update
 117179 Jan 27 12:34 ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/ts/tspa357c.zip
tspa357c.zip Turbo Pascal 7.0 real mode units for (real:-) programmers.
My compliments and thnaks to Osmo Ronkanen for solving this awkward
Crt problem with the FDelay unit. For more about the FDelay unit
please see #124 in the ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/link/tsfaqp.zip Turbo
Pascal FAQ.

Sun 3-Jan-99: I happened to need a program to reverse the order of
some lines of text. Hence I wrote a program that reverses the rows
of a text file: INVERT.EXE. I placed this program within one of my
older text file manipulation collections, now updated to

The package also contains from the 1980's my
 "FILECOMP.EXE Compares two text files"
 "FILEQLPC.EXE Converts deficient end-of-lines"
PCs faster than 200Mhz have brought along a new problem with some
old programs. Turbo Pascal's Crt screen handling cease to work
because of a "divide by 0" initialization error. The updates
of FILECOMP and FILEQLPC hopefully remedy the situation.
